Student Scholarships 2024
Our annual Student Scholarships are now open for applications. The Scholarships worth €1,000 are for students who are starting or currently in 3rd level education. Application forms for the General and Loan Scholarship can be filled out using the form below, or by picking up a paper application which are available in our 3 offices.
10 lucky members will receive €1,000 each. The fund is divided as follows:
General scholarship: 8 X €1,000 which is offered to all students, aged between 17 and 24 years on or before 1st September 2024 and be a member of Link Credit Union prior to 31st July 2024
Loan Scholarship: 2 x €1,000 available to members who take out an educational loan between 1st July —31st Dec. 2024. *Please note this draw does not take place until January 2025. Applicants are also eligible to enter the general scholarship draw by completing the form.
Paper applications may be returned by email to marketing@linkcu.ie or by dropping them into any of our 3 offices.
Closing date for applications the General Scholarship is Friday 18th October 2024.
Terms and Conditions to apply

- Applicants must be attending or commencing a full-time 3rd level undergraduate level course of at least two years duration.
- No application will be considered from postgraduate students.
- Payment of the scholarship prize of €1,000 will be made on condition that the winning student has been accepted on an eligible college/university course and proof of acceptance will be required. This verification will be required if you are one of the lucky winners and no prize funds will be issued without proof.
- Anyone in receipt of sponsorship of a course by an employer or earning an income connected to his/her course, from an employer, is not eligible to apply.
- Previous scholarship winners are not eligible to apply.
- All qualifying applications will be entered into a lottery draw. Winning members will be notified by letter and may be requested to take part in promotional activities associated with the draw.
- The Scholarship funds will be lodged into the winning student’s Link Credit Union account.
- The decision of the Board of Directors of Link Credit Union will be final.
- Winning members must accept the publication of their names and the area they live in, as it is within Link Credit Union’s and its members’ legitimate interest to ensure that all matters pertaining to the operation of the scholarship are transparent. However, no photographs of winning or participating members will be published unless explicit informed consent is received in advance.
- The fund is divided as follows:

- Loan Scholarship – 2 x €1,000 available to members who take out an Educational Loan between 1st July —31st Dec. 2024.
- The draw for the General Scholarship will take place in November. The draw for the Loan Scholarship will take place in January 2025.
